Jessica Morales who lives in the Hamptons said she takes her female English Cream Retriever Harley "still a puppy" when she goes places and likes The Station Bar, 22 Shinnecock Road, Hampton Bays where "the food is good."

The American bar and grill with live music has a fairly large outside dining area, located on a marina on Shinnecock Canal.

Asked why Harley goes on outings, Karine said, "She is very much part of the family already and we try to include her in everything we possibly can and since my boyfriend and I are both foodies that means lots of eating and drinking," she said.

Several people on social media mention The Steam Room at 4 E. Broadway, Port Jefferson as dog-friendly. Definitely, we welcome dogs on a glassed-in area with an open roof and outside on the patio which has a great view of the harbor," the restaurant confirmed.

Canal Cafe, 44 Newtown Road, Hampton Bays has a spacious wooden deck overlooking the marina and Shinnecock where dogs are allowed, in fact, the resident dog Leo is often featured on Instagram posts about the restaurant

In addition to restaurants, it's no secret Long Island has many great wineries and they often welcome pups. Here are two to try.

Lieb Cellars Tasting Room, 13050 Oregon Road in Cutchogue has an outside patio where dogs are allowed to stay with owners while enjoying wine tasting and snacking from a charcuterie menu.

Macari Vineyards at 150 Bergen Ave. in Mattituck welcomes dogs both on a lawn area and inside "as long as they are on a leash and well behaved around other dogs, and of course, people," said a manager Jul Fedele.

Chris De Luca who is a wine club member at Macari told Daily Voice the winery is "one of our favorite places with seating inside or out and dogs are welcome in both areas." De Luca doesn't have a dog but says he sees them at the winery "all the time and they are always friendly."

Visitors to Macari may enjoy wine tasting and order cheese and charcuterie and there's a pizza truck on site on the weekends.
